Final Digipak Advert

Final alterations have been made to my digipak advert which include details of where to find my star images new album can be found. I believe adding a line to separate the advert out a little also improved the design of it.

Draft Digipak Advert

This is a draft version of Digipak Advert, the white font stands out beautifully against the green background. The background has great synergy with out music video as the image was shot on the same location

Group Post: Digipak Advert draft

We have been trying out a variety of different layouts for the front pane of the digipak, and we asked a couple of people what their opinions were of these and which ones they preferred. We asked people aged between 17-18, and most of which agreed that they were both just as good as each other. This means that we have much scope between which one we chose, and either way it will appeal to our intended audience.

Group Post: Digipak draft

This is our first rough cut of our front pane on the digipak, and we are experimenting with different fonts, sizes and colours in which will create synergy across the digipak and magazine advert, and the video also.

Group Post Editing: Using Final Cut

My partner Jess created this excellent post on editing our music video, now our final version is finished we have used more features on Final Cut Pro X. Such as adding transitions in order to soften the cuts between clips and make the video flow together.
We have completed a rough cut of our video, where we have put the majority of our shots on to the timeline. This initially it showed us where we might need some more shots, and it brought out any issues we may need to resolve.
We have got shots for every lyric apart from one where we have had a few weather and planning issues, as we need a clear shot of clouds and we haven't had a day recently that's been correct.
On a few of our shots we have decided to play around with the opacity of two shots overlapping, meaning that they appear at the same time yet merged together. Here we have created a unique shot where our female model is twirling around in the countryside, with a shot of trees over the top.
We used the opacity tool to do this on the Inspector part of Final Cut Pro X.
Another aspect we have used to do a little editing so far, is Ken Burns. On two occasions we have used Ken Burns, one to zoom more into our female model, and one to zoom out. This gives our music video a range of different shots and zooms also.
We need to do a little more shooting in order to do some tracking, and then our music video will hopefully consist of everything we need, which we will arrange for a day soon.
